The best I can. . .

To my amazing girls,

Today I was having a tough day at work which put me in a foul mood. Your mother being the amazing woman that she is, was able to know exactly how to cheer me up.  She sent me a video of Ella reading a poem for me, telling me that you loved me and that I had strong boobs. This video basically made me pull over on the highway, and laugh hysterically.

Once I got home, and walked in the door, you both met me immediately to give me the cards that you made for me. To top it all off, you both ran to me and gave me the biggest hug and kiss.  In that moment I had no other care in the world.

How did I luck out to have such an amazing loving family to come home to every night? I am still trying to figure that out.

If there is one thing that I try to do for my family, it is to make sure that you understand that as long as you try, and do the best that you can anything in this world can happen. If you look at me, I am 32 going back to school, starting a new job, in a new house with twin toddlers, and another on the way. I hope that you all know that I am just doing the best I can to show you that hard work can open many doors and be the beginning to amazing adventures.

Every chance I get I am amazed at the little personalities that you both are showing each and every day. I love to listen to you play with each other and listen to the stories that you both weave and see the imagination that you have. You two are so smart and are so eager to learn, read, play, and talk our ears off. It is amazing.
Now to my little man,

This past weekend, I was sitting in your room after we finally got it finished. I was thinking of all the long nights and amazing memories we are about to create.  I won't lie your mother is a super hero, you could not ask for a better one. I also know, that at first you may only want your mom. But, I want you to know that you are my little guy. I am so excited to meet you and love you. I want you to know,  just like your sisters, I will be there for you every step of the way.  To be your protector, your teacher, your biggest fan, and most of all your dad. I hope to be half the dad to you that your Papa was to me because, I would not be the man I am today without his influence.

Jack,  I can not wait for you to come! We will finally be a family of 5 that can start creating amazing memories together. I have so many things to teach you about; The Cleveland Browns, sports, superheroes, and so much more!

I love you all to the moon and back!

Love,
Dad
