Dear girls,
There are moments that I replay in my head over and over. Moments that haven't even happened yet. The most recent one being the moment you girls walk into the hospital room to meet your brother for the first time.
Tears. All of the tears. I just can't even think about this without tears.
Leaving you the night before your brother is born, with whoever you will be staying with. Saying goodbye to you one last time as my only children.
Tears. All of the tears.
Our life together these last 3 years has been pretty amazing, and that is all about to change soon.
Girls, we had a pretty good run, I am not gonna lie, probably the most fulfilling years of my life thus far.
You're my people.
Our routines.
Our playtime.
Our time together in general is all about to change.
You're about to turn into big sisters. At age 3 this job might not sound so important to you.
It is important though.
Your siblings are YOUR people.
If we do things right, they should be YOUR people for life.
Being a sister in general is such a big deal. You have a responsibility to know your siblings, love, and support them always, and remind them that they are never alone. Our routines, playtimes, and time together will change into:
Your routines.
Your playtime.
Your time together.
I am going to become more of an audience as you experience what it's like to learn, and love another person.
I am sure you all will argue, and fight, and get each other into all kinds of trouble.
I am also sure that you will make the most amazing memories together.
If your childhood with your siblings is anything like mine was...
You will have all kinds of crazy stories of silliness, fun, and love.
Childhood is much more magical when you have people to go through it with.
All of these things will grow and nurture your relationships that will hopefully turn into deep lasting friendships with each other.
In my own personal experience, I can tell you that you will all be different! You will all lead different lives. You may not always agree with each other but, you will always love each other.
Imagining your relationships with each other as adults, reminiscing about all the craziness I am sure your childhood will be, and laughing with each other about it...
Tears. All of the tears.
You're about to become big sisters, we are adding another person to our "group". I' am so excited to see how this little guy adds to the beauty of your lives forever.
You're my first, and the loves of my life. Adding another baby doesn't take any of that away from you. It just adds more love into your lives.
All my love,
Mom
