My Wife, My Superhero

Did a radioactive spider bite her? No. Did she come to this world from the planet Krypton? No. What she did was have two beautiful twin girls and take to motherhood like a fish to water.  This may sound like a mushy piece but guess what . . . Too bad.  I have been with my wife since high school and I would not have it any other way.  She is one of the most dedicated and motivated people I know, and she never shies away from a challenge.

The reason I want to point this out is because while going through everything we did throughout the pregnancy.  Her only complaint was that her prenatal vitamins made her terribly sick.  If you know us and know our story, you know that Meghan went through a ton of procedures and blood draws that would have put me on the floor.  She handled everything thrown at her with a smile on her face (most of the time) and determination in her eyes.

If you do not know my wife she is a 2nd grade teacher and it truly is her calling in life.  Listening to her stories when she would come home from work just alone shows you how dedicated she is to her career. During the first couple years she even took on getting her masters degree.  So, on top of working full time she was going to school and we were trying to start a family.  If that does not define a superhero than I’m lost.

The reason this is so important to me is because I have two beautiful little angels, and honestly who better to have be a role model than their own mother.  Meghan loves fiercely, and strives to always be the best teacher, mother, wife, friend, sister, daughter, etc that she can be. I mean what husband in their right mind would not want that amazing of a person to be a role model to their daughters?

To put the icing on the cake my wife always looks for the best in people, and as you can see from a previous post just wants a better world for our little ones to grow up in.  I could write pages on pages about my wife but I will wrap it up because it is midnight on a Tuesday and I have to work in the morning.  Not only is Meghan my best friend and wife she has made me a better person.  I cannot wait to watch my little Ava and Ella grow up with such a great role model.  If my girls are just  a fraction of the person their mother is (which I know they will be) our world is a better place because of it!
