"Slow down, you move too fast"

Like that Simon and Garfunkel song "The 59th Street Bridge", I've decided that time goes by way too quickly when you want it to slow down. The school year is coming to a close and that means that my time with my girls is starting to dwindle. Yes, I will still have June and July with them but, August 1st I go back to teach summer school.

A day in the life of the twins flies by. It seems like we no sooner wake up and then it is time for baths and bed.  Being home with them has been the best choice I have ever made. It has really made me see how fast time flies and not to take time for granted! Since the day we brought them home our hours seem to turn into days, our days into weeks. Now all of the sudden we have 5 month olds! I am so glad I have been able to spend every minute with them.

Because of our time flying, I try to make sure that our days are full of fun and exciting things for all of us. My Aunt and Uncle brought over outdoor swings for the girls; it has finally been nice enough to get outside and enjoy them! Monday and Tuesday night we took them for a spin, the girls loved them. Ava sighed, as if trying to say, "this is the life!" Ella smiled and of course was looking around at all of her surroundings. (She's our little observant girl)

We also have been practicing our rolling over skills. Ella has mastered this skill with flying colors. She is beginning to roll onto her tummy for nap time. This gives Mommy serious anxiety, I am terrified she will suffocate!

Visitors are still frequent which is wonderful! Grammy comes at least one evening a week to help, and then Friday all day. Great Grandma Gloria comes Wednesday afternoons, and all day Thursday. This helps me clean the house, make dinner, run an errand, or just enjoy adult conversation! Lots of others enjoy coming to visit as well, and we love having them! Monday night Grammy came to play with us! Our new puppy had us tickled to death! Ava especially loved her!
