Ok so let's be real here; when you are walking through a store or are at a restaurant you notice people and make observations. I get it, I do this too. Well, since having the twins and getting out and about with them more and more now, I too have noticed things. Some are great, others are annoying, and then some are just plain weird!!
Observation Record
1. Everyone noticing we have twins and commenting on how beautiful, sweet, well behaved they are. This is great and welcomed! But then there are other people...
2. People noticing we have twins (who are wearing pink, have bows in their hair, and Minnie Mouse dolls) say, "oh how cute a boy and a girl!" What?? Ha, we quickly correct them and life moves on no biggie. ((This happens basically every time we go out though.))
3. This is a new one for me...strangers getting WAY too close to look at babies. I mean go ahead look but, please don't touch or get close enough for them to touch you! That weirds me out, we don't know you! Please respect our bubbles! :-)
4. Wonderfully nice people who hold the door for you, especially when I am by myself! I am forever grateful for these people.
5. Silly people who walk right by me or in front of me without opening doors, and leave me to have to open door, hold with leg/butt, and pull stroller by the front... I really don't think people are this blatantly rude, I think they are just oblivious sometimes. (Friends without babies please take note of this and help a Mom out next time you have the chance!)
**I was going to stick with 5 things, but I have to end with this...
6. It's super fine to observe and look at babies from a distance, but please do not stare for extended amounts of time. It is creepy. We have twins not sextuplets. Also if you are going to stare at least smile or something... :-)
I am sure I will make more and more observations as time goes on. For now I am thankful these are the only ones we've dealt with!
Enjoy your weekend!
