Out pouring of love...

I've decided I need an outlet different from Facebook, my babies just have completely taken over every aspect of my life. I am over flowing with love for them. I find that I am constantly in need of sharing how they are doing, what they are doing, and how they are growing with everyone. I guess this blog will be better for everyone's newsfeed. If people would like to follow our blog that's great. It will be a good way for me to share with family and friends that are not around as much as we'd like them to be!  :-)

To begin,  I suppose I should introduce our story to those of you who may not know. This will help you  get a better understanding of our family and the love we share.

It all started about three years ago when my husband and I decided we should try to start a family. We figured it wouldn't be hard and it would probably happen before we were "ready". Well, let me fast forward...three years, roughly 300 doctors appointments, dozens of medications, ultra sounds, miscarriage,  injections, and two surgeries later we got our beautiful twin girls.

Our journey to find our family felt long and hard. I know we are not alone in this 1 in 8 families struggle with infertility related issues. We were "lucky" that we only had to do 1 round of IVF (in vitro fertilization) and came out with two healthy, almost full term baby girls. I am thankful everyday for those sad, hard years they brought us to our babies. So, as you can see maybe I am a little too obsessed with our girls, but our journey has brought me here. I love every moment with them and everything that they do fills me with so much joy.

The girls just turned 5 months old yesterday and are getting so big! They came early at 36.5 weeks on the dot! They were delivered via c-section and came into the world at 7:23 and 7:24 December 21, 2015. Ava 4 lbs 9oz and 17 inches, Ella 5 lbs 8.5 oz and 18.5 inches,. These  sweet girls only had to spend a few hours in the NICU to make sure they could hold their own body temperatures and then they were all ours. Every moment since I have been completely bewitched! :-)

Nap time is over, and I have to go wake up those pretty girls now. Follow us for updates and fun. Next post will be an update on how they are doing now!
